3M QUESTemp II Personal Heat Stress Monitor for Measuring Core Body Temperature

People who work in hot, humid areas — particularly workers in protective suits — are in danger of overheating and suffering heat-related illnesses. Heat stress occurs when the body's cooling system can't keep up with the heat induced by activity or environment. Symptoms include dizziness, exhaustion, heat cramps, dehydration, and collapse.

3M's QuesTemp II personal heat stress monitor measures and records a person's core temperature of the external auditory canal to verify an individual’s response to heat stress. User-selected alarm trip points provide an audio alert to workers who are experiencing elevated core temperatures. You can also use the recorded data to evaluate worker response to heat stress loads, and assist in developing preventive measures.
