Extech's MO297 pinless moisture sensor lets you measure moisture in wood and building materials reading up to 0.75" below the surface with virtually no surface damage. Its remote pin-type probe can be used for contact moisture readings in hard-to-reach or hazardous areas. The MO297 has a large dual display screen that simultaneously displays percentage of moisture in wood or material being tested and air temperature, infrared temperature, or humidity. The non-contact IR thermometer has an 8:1 distance-to-spot ratio and a 0.95 fixed emissivity.
