The X-550 utilizes highest current X-ray tube, Rh anode (50 kV, 500 uA, 5 W) and high resolution, high count rate silicon drift detector (25 mm2 SDD, 140 eV at 5.95 Mn K-alpha line, at 90+% live time, 250k cps) for fast alloy identification.
The X-550 provides initial analysis in 1 second, with automatic updates for greater precision every 1 secondthereafter. The X-550 is equipped with our latest Alloy App for general alloy analysis. Typical test times are 1-3 seconds. Also included is the Sulfidic Corrosion App with optimized calibration for low silicon in Carbon Steel, and Residuals App with optimized performance on Ni, Cr, Cu, Nb, and V for low residual material in HF alkylation units. Standard grade library includes approximately 500 entries. User may add additional grades at any time without limit. Analyzer auto-calibrates and checks calibration on external 316 stainless test material (included). Analyzer also features protective mesh covering SDD detector. This design virtually eliminates accidental detector punctures.
Analyzer includes integrated micro and macro camera for photo-documentation of tests and pinpointing specific test regions on welds or non-homogeneous sample
