Air-O-Cell® Bioaerosol Sampling Cassette 10-Pack by Zefon

The Zefon Air-O-Cell is a bioaerosol sampling cassette designed for the rapid collection of a wide range of airborne aerosols including mold spores, pollen, insect parts, skin cell fragments, fibers (asbestos, fiberglass, cellulose, clothing fibers), and inorganic particulate (ceramic, fly ash, copy toner, oil droplets). Air-O-Cell collects both viable and non-viable sample specimens, providing a broader overview of potential allergens and contaminants than conventional sampling techniques.
 
The Air-O-Cell operates on the principle of inertial impaction. Particulate-laden air is accelerated as it is drawn through the cassette's tapered inlet slit and directed toward a glass slide containing collection media, where particles become impacted. The adhesive nature of the collection media prevents collected particulate from blurring or washing off during laboratory staining, and eliminates sample loss from vibration during handling and shipment.
 
Air-O-Cell works with any standard area sampling pump capable of drawing 15 LPM open flow, however it is perfectly designed for the Zefon Bio-Pump Plus. The compact size makes Air-O-Cell suitable for use in confined or restrictive spaces.
