Portable Combustion Efficiency Analyzers & Gas Emissions Testing Equipment

RAECO Rents is a leading supplier of combustion efficiency and gas emissions testing equipment. We offer a wide selection of portable emissions analyzers and combustion tuning analyzers from the most recognized manufacturers in the industry, Testo and Sensit Technologies.

Combustion analyzers help facility managers, HVAC contractors, and environmental consultants solve critical operational and regulatory challenges. Inefficient combustion wastes fuel, increases emissions, and accelerates equipment wear. Renting gives you access to EPA-certified analyzers with fresh sensors and current calibration without the capital investment, storage costs, or maintenance burden of ownership. Whether you need a handheld unit for routine boiler tune-ups or a multi-gas analyzer for Title V permit compliance, renting ensures you have the right tool calibrated and ready when your project demands it.

All our combustion and emission analyzer rentals are backed by our Instant-On Guarantee and come with calibration certificates as well as free online video training and manuals. If you have questions or need help determining the best emissions testing equipment for your project, our factory-trained technical staff will be happy to help!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT COMBUSTION & EMISSION ANALYZERS

What's the difference between the Testo 340 and Testo 350?

The Testo 340 is designed for commercial combustion tuning and routine maintenance, measuring up to four gases with a handheld design. The Testo 350 is EPA-certified for regulatory compliance testing, measures up to six gases including optional hydrocarbons, and offers remote operation for stack testing. Choose the Testo 340 for boiler tune-ups and efficiency optimization. Choose the Testo 350 for EPA compliance, industrial stack testing, or any application requiring comprehensive multi-gas analysis with certified accuracy.

Are all Testo analyzers EPA-certified for compliance testing?

NO! The Testo 350 is EPA-certified and meets regulatory requirements for compliance testing when properly configured, calibrated, and operated according to EPA protocols. The Testo 340 is not EPA-certified for regulatory compliance work, but it does provide accurate combustion measurements.

Can I measure multiple gases at the same time?

Yes, both the Testo 340 and Testo 350 display all installed sensors simultaneously on the color screen. The Testo 340 supports up to four gas sensors, while the Testo 350 accommodates up to six. Configure your rental with the specific gas sensors required for your application—common configurations range from basic O₂ + CO measurements to full six-gas analysis including hydrocarbons.

What is a combustion analyzer used for?

A combustion analyzer is used to measure and analyze the composition of gases produced during combustion processes in order to ensure safety and efficiency. Depending on the model, it can be used to measure O2, CO, NO, NO2 (NOx) on EPA dry basis for Compliance and Pre-compliance testing, establish emission baselines and confirm combustion / emissions permit status and combustion maintenance.

What are common Applications or Comliance Standards Testo's are used for?

  • Boiler and furnace tune-ups for optimal combustion efficiency
  • HVAC burner commissioning and seasonal maintenance
  • Stationary engine testing on compressor stations and generators
  • Gas turbine performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Process heater and thermal oxidizer optimization
  • Industrial kiln and incinerator emissions monitoring

What is the best combustion analyzer?

The best combustion and emissions analyzer will depend on your project.  For EPA Emissions Compliance testing – The Testo 350 will cover EPA test methods OTM 39, OTM 38, 7E, CTM-030, CTM-034, ASTM D6522, SCAQMD 1110.2, SCAQMD 1146.  It's also used for state, local and company testing. Projects focused on tuning IC engines are able to use both Testo 340 & 350. If you’re unsure about what type of combustion testing equipment you need, contact us today and our staff will be happy to help!

Is a combustion analyzer necessary?

Combustion analyzers are necessary when conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, or performance evaluations of combustion-based systems such as furnaces, boilers, or engines. A combustion analyzer is necessary for accurate measurement and analysis of combustion processes to ensure efficient operation, safety, and compliance with emission regulations.
